How did we all go with last Friday's weekend wellness challenge? Who created their vision board? We'd love to see some pics via Instagram or email if you guys got into it. I completed my last vision board in January and 80% of it has come to fruition - it's definitely time for me to do another. On that note, make sure not to throw old vision boards out - it is amazing to look back on them to see the magic that ensued.
So, onto our next weekend challenge!
Task 3: Create a new music playlist.
Whilst I have also been an enthusiastic music fan, gone are the days I have music playing incessantly. These days I love silence in the mornings as I prepare for my day. I also prefer to exercise in silence, to walk or jog sans headphones so that I truly appreciate my surrounds. I even mostly choose to drive in silence. I do however enjoy background music during my working day, of an evening and often on weekends. I find music beautifully calming and soothing and at times of course highly energising. It's important though that I don't let my playlists turn into groundhog day, that I mix them up and keep life fresh.
Do your playlists need a little love? Perhaps it's time to create a new 'working day' playlist, or a 'Sunday couch time' playlist? Or maybe you need a new dance list to fire up the senses for some lounge room dancing tonight?
In any case, if you need some melodic inspiration here's a few of the latest additions to my playlists (not all new but some new to my iPod) :
Antony & the Johnsons
Julia Stone
London Grammar
Emiliana Terrini
James Blake
James Vincent McMorrow
Tara Brach (beautiful guided meditations)
Which artists do you love? What music will be on your playlist? I would love to know your suggestions please!
