I've set myself some very hefty work related goals this year. The challenge each day is to remain on task, focussed and motivated to keep on keeping on, even when I just don't feel like showing up. You know those days you just can't be arsed? Well it's those days that really matter in my opinion; it's our ability to build and maintain momentum in the part of our life that truly matters to us right now, even if we don't feel like it. If we want something enough we make it happen.
That being said, you can better support your goals by selecting essential oil diffuser blends to help clear a foggy mind and fuel your passion. For me they shout "let's do this!" as soon as I smell that beautiful aroma permeate the room.
Now remember, the best way to use your essential oils is to ask yourself, at any given moment of your day (or night), "how do I want to feel right now?" That determines what you select. So it's less about "how do I want my house to smell?" - which of course is perfectly ok, however when using pure tested grade essential oils don't understatement how well they can support you physically, mentally and emotionally.
But first a note on diffusers.
Is there a difference between one diffuser and another?
Absolutely. Please do your research; there is a huge difference between one and another. Some are noisy with a motorised sound, others are ineffective in their oil consumption i.e. you need double if not triple the drops below to achieve the same aroma. My favourite diffuser is the doTERRA Petal diffuser (below). It's not the prettiest, but it's the most effective I've used. My second favourite is also a doTERRA diffuser called Lumo (above). It's more expensive but it has more settings (and is definitely prettier, in my opinion).
How many drops do you use in a diffuser?
This depends on the size of your room and also your sensitivity to smell. In my open plan living/kitchen area I use around 6 or 7. In my office 5 is plenty, 4-5 in my bedroom.
Why wouldn't you simply use an oil burner?
Because you will destroy the quality of the oils (assuming they are 100% pure in the first place). A diffuser sends the aromatic compounds into the air without heating them. Putting a flame under your beautiful oils will simply destroy their qualities.
Here are a few of my favourite combos that I like to diffuse in my office environment during the day, or if I need to upscale productivity around the home.
